Tandridge District Council is working with the community, including the CR3 Forum and local businesses, key stakeholders and the Parish Councils to produce a viable Masterplan for Caterham Valley and Caterham-on-the-Hill.
The Masterplan aims to deliver a vision for Caterham Valley and Caterham-on-the-Hill based on previous community consultation exercises, in particular the Town Centre Design Statement (TCDS), building on the Neighbourhood Plan.

The Masterplan is being prepared in a staged way. We are currently in Stage 2 and are consulting on the Masterplan options. The Masterplan stages are:
Understanding the Now: Parking surveys and Transport Statement, Property Market Assessment, Planning Policy Review, Stakeholder Consultation, Townscape Analysis and Socio-Economic Review.

This stage of the project will set out ideas and options for delivering key projects in Caterham Valley and Caterham-on-the-Hill.
Taking into account community feedback and project testing, the draft Masterplan and Action Plan for Caterham Valley and Caterham-on-the-Hill will be established for further consultation in summer 2017 before producing the final Masterplan.
The final Caterham Masterplan will be produced and approved by Tandridge District Council.
The consultation is based around a series of consultation boards that summarise the issues and opportunities to be considered for the Caterham Masterplan. Please look at the consultation boards and let us have your views.

The CR3 Forum has also prepare the Caterham Town Design Statement which is intended to capture Caterham community’s vision of how local people would like their Valley and Hill town centres to evolve over the next 20 years. This can be viewed here.

The views of the community, landowners and other interested parties will be taken into account in preparing the draft Caterham Masterplan. A consultation report will be prepared following this consultation exercise and will be made public.
